Sierra Wireless is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Blaine to Senior Vice President, Engineering, reporting to the Chief Technology Officer. Steve will assume overall line responsibility for engineering worldwide, as well as all development partner-based activities.

Steve joined Sierra Wireless in 1999 as Director of GSM Product Development. In 2002 Steve was appointed Vice President, Engineering and was responsible for GPRS, EDGE, UMTS development and CDPD support activities. Steve brings over 25 years of engineering and development leadership experience to his position, including management roles with Mitel, Glenayre Electronics, PMC Sierra, Starvision Multimedia (A Newbridge Affiliate) and Motorola's Mobile Data Division.
