Gruber replaces Ran Oz, who announced in October he would leave Nice for a position at a telecom company.
Alvarion, an Israeli maker of wireless and broadband products, said Gruber would continue to serve as CFO at the company until a replacement is named, which is expected to take place in the second quarter.
